Students from Grade 5 to 10 went to Malolos, Bulacan and to visit the Barasoain Church as well as visit a stevia farm for their co-curricular field trip on 2 December.
The visit to Malolos and the historic church gave the students an opportunity to see an actual setting of an important event in Philippine history: the writing of the first Philippine Constitution and the site of the first Philippine Republic.
The students also dropped by a stevia farm to see how a plant is raised and converted to a sweetener that benefits people with diabetes.
The co-curricular activity was capped by watching a ballet performance at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Ballet Philippines’ performance of Tschaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite gave the students a first experience in watching and appreciating ballet, classical music, and technical staging. The ballet was indeed a feast for the eyes and ears!
